Suspens

At the center of the former Decré store, the stairwell reminds us of the interior of a camera pointing toward the sky, with the continuing roll of the escalator and the round eye through which the light penetrates. Cécile Bart takes advantage of the mechanical movement by transforming the automatic ascension into a perceptive experience.
Eight translucent, suspended paintings-screens play with oblique lines, perspectives and colors. The variety of position gives the feeling of facing objects that had been stopped in their motion.
