Emilie Ding
Born in 1981 in Fribourg, Switzerland. She lives and works in Berlin.
Emilie Ding has been experimenting for years with the geometric patterns of architecture. With her compositions on paper and sculptures she creates optical effects and disrupts the viewers’ physical sensations. Crosses and weaves, metal, concrete and oil appear to be the artist’s preferred shapes and materials. Her work has been exhibited, inter alia, at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris in 2014 and at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMCO), Geneva in 2015.
