George Henry Longly
Born in 1978 in London where he lives and works.
George Henry Longly’s pieces slip into the exhibition venue under the appearance of odd geometric shapes. In fact they are a reaction to such architectural constants as corners, columns, ceiling lights, etc., with a deadpan humor that takesoff in this British artist’s titles and the performative note they sound: What you see is not what it is: views on politics and poetics. Shifting between plays of light and plays on words, these simple assemblages of concrete, wood and glass display a healthy relativism.
