Julien Creuzet
Born in 1986 in Blanc Mesnil, France. He lives and works in Montreuil, France.
Julien Creuzet is a multi-disciplinarian artist whose creations resemble archipelagoes composed of sculpture, video, installations, texts and performances. He lived in Martinique, a crossroads of African, European and Indian civilizations. His Caribbean origins imprinted in his memory echo through his interpretation of Edouard Glissant. The artist affirms the poetics of “Tout-monde” by using plasticity in language and precarious assemblies : fruit, waste, planks of wood, spoons and aquariums all contribute to defining the contours of an eerie plastic choreography. These assemblies are intrinsically linked to his prolific poetic creation be it expressed in writing, recited, or engraved into his work.
