Marcelline Delbecq
Born in 1977 in Évreux, France.
Marcelline Delbecq's practice gradually moved away from the image as such to focus on the cinematic, even photographic, potential of writing. Her use of narrative and voice has developed a narrative universe put into words to summon a set of mental images oscillating between documentary and fiction, past and present. In his sound installations, publications and public readings, words bring into play the question of the gaze by becoming images in their own turn.
