Galerie des Galeries

Convinced that today's creations are potentially tomorrow's heritage, the Group has initiated a programme of permanent artistic commissions around the architectural heritage of its shops in order to reveal its uniqueness and contribute to its influence.

By inviting artists to create original works in situ, the Group wishes to offer the general public new experiences based on the encounter between art and commerce.

Stairway to Heavens

Studio GGSV inaugurates STAIRWAY TO HEAVENS, a permanent artistic commission in one of the historic staircases of Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, where an unusual panorama can be discovered through a trompe-l'oeil fresco depicting universes of changing materiality, inspired by the unique architectural and decorative heritage of Galeries Lafayette.

Galeries Lafayette has invited the French artist duo Gaëlle Gabillet and Stéphane Villard from Studio GGSV for an exclusive carte blanche at the Parisian department store ; a tribute to contemporary creation orchestrated in a historic monument, an emblem of Art Nouveau.
