Forêt, Bleue

BHV Marais and Citynove have entrusted the design of the entrance gate to the BHV Homme shop to the artist Ulla von Brandenburg.
Designed to cover the gate of the BHV Marais Homme in Paris, "Forêt, Bleue" is a permanent work by the German artist Ulla von Brandenburg, which reveals the poetic silhouette of a forest in the heart of the city every evening when the gate to the shop's inner courtyard is closed. Poetic, this forest in the heart of the city is like a shadow theatre whose gentle melancholy revives images of the past.

Every evening, the midnight-blue silhouette of a forest envelops the inner courtyard of the shop, with only the glimmer of light to be seen. A forest in the heart of the city, a shadow theatre whose gentle melancholy revives images of the past.
Through her drawings, films, murals and large-scale installations of coloured hangings, Ulla von Brandenburg invites us into a dreamlike universe where the meanderings of our unconscious secretly echo the world as it appears to us, or as we imagine it.
Permanent work commissioned and produced by Citynove for the BHV Marais.
