Inner tension is what characterizes the Vincastro X-frame bookshelf. With this prototype, Paolo Ulian harks back to the craftman’s passion for capturing ideas and feelings through physical materials. The joke here is that the library looks as though it might snap shut any minute, while the Perspex panels for placing books are never quite flat, or even concave or convex.
