La Galerie de Jean-Paul Lespagnard: Till We Drop
The Galerie des Galeries hosts Till We Drop : the first monographic exhibition by the talented fashion designer.
Previous winner of the Festival International de Mode et de Photographie in Hyères and future associate artist of the European Capital of Culture project for the city of Mons in 2015, he has imagined Till We Drop, an exhibition in his image: offbeat and committed.
For his first solo show in Paris, Jean-Paul Lespagnard invites visitors to explore his creative process. Inspired by his eponymous 2014 collection, presented in Paris in September 2013, the exhibition evokes the exuberant life of the grand hotels of Mexico's Riviera Maya and echoes a certain idea of artificial paradise. A euphoric universe of transgression and freedom. Jean-Paul Lespagnard, disguised as a bee, plunges us into a journey punctuated by devices that depict the rites, habits and customs of the impulsive tourist, freed from all material contingencies.
To coincide with the visit of the prolific Jean-Paul Lespagnard to Galeries Lafayette, the Till We Drop project will be showcased in all the windows on rue de la Chaussée d'Antin and on the second floor of the store.
