In-store exhibitions

The Galeries Lafayette group bases all its actions in support of creativity on the values of accessibility and participation. In-store exhibitions are organized to coincide with current events, inviting visitors to freely encounter contemporary creativity.

For twenty years, Galeries Lafayette has dedicated 300 sq.m. to the creation of a specific cultural space within their flagship on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris: the Galerie des Galeries, a place of words and ideas dedicated to creation in all its forms. Since 2021, Galeries Lafayette invites visitors to discover the best of contemporary creation throughout the store.

Docteur Paper

From 1st July to 12th September 2023, as part of their cultural partnership with Le Voyage à Nantes, Galeries Lafayette will be inviting Nantes-based artist Docteur Paper to take part in an original carte blanche in the Decré department stores'.

CAKE

Yngve Holen

From 5 to 23 October 202, Galeries Lafayette present CAKE, an artwork by artist Yngve Holen featuring a Porsche Panamera cut into four pieces, in the atrium of the Champs-Elysées store. By exhibiting a major piece from the Fonds de dotation Famille Moulin, the Galeries Lafayette group wishes to offer Parisian and international visitors privileged access to contemporary creation, in line with its historical commitment.

La Galerie des Galeries (2001-2020)

Inaugurated in 2001, the Galerie des Galeries was originally conceived as the cultural space of the Haussmann store. Located on the 1st floor, its aim was to introduce Galeries Lafayette visitors to the talents of today and tomorrow. Comprising exhibitions of French and international design, the program highlighted the cross-disciplinary nature of fashion, visual arts and design.
