Marine Serre x Galeries Lafayette
Winner of the 2017 Galeries Lafayette prize at the International Fashion, Photography and Accessories Festival in Hyères, Marine Serre has designed a bold capsule collection for Galeries Lafayette.
After four successful capsule collections designed, produced and distributed, this year again the Galeries Lafayette endowment gives carte blanche to a finalist of the Première Vision Grand Prix Jury to design a capsule collection with its eponymous brand, Galeries Lafayette. Both a mentoring programme and an exercise focused on the challenges of production and distribution on a department store scale, this collaboration allows the young designer to create a capsule collection in the image of his or her creative universe that will have seduced the Galeries Lafayette jury of experts.
These hybrid and iconic pieces express a functionalist and radically pragmatic vision of power, beauty and feminine style, mixing sportswear cuts, jerseys and lush fabrics with bright and expressive colours. This collection is designed to be accessible to a wide audience, while revolving around the iconic hybrid garment, to reinvent the everyday.
